The first post I ever created at the Wealthy Affiliate has opened my “I can do it a journal.” That was my first blog ever. That was on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. And it was a little bit after I upgraded from monthly to the yearly premium membership.
I took advantage of the first week of the Free starter membership and paid only $19 in September 2015. Until July 2016. I was a monthly member and was paying $49 per month. I never regretted going premium. This was also the way to look at this job in a long term.
Making a commitment
On that day I committed to 8 hours per day full time learning for the entire month, figuring out how the Wealthy Affiliate platform works, listening to the lessons, and going through the tasks.
When I made a commitment and decided to make a plan and stick with it, I realized that I had no idea how to break through the writing barrier.
This was when a great idea came to my mind. To write a journal about my journey at the Wealthy Affiliate. I found it better to write straight away as a blog within the Wealthy Affiliate community so that other members can read and comment on it, to give suggestions, and so on 🙂
That Tuesday, July 26th I named as the first day of my year of success.
My Wealthy Affiliate rank was 4616. I used the Live Chat for the first time after a while and got support on using the referral links and posting them on Facebook. I was so amazed by the Wealthy Affiliate support and a live chat which was real and professional 🙂
Everything was so new to me. I had no idea what I was going to go through. It seemed at the same time very simple and easy but also very new, complicated, and difficult to manage. Oh my, that was just because I was a complete newbie in online marketing.
Finding a way to stay focused
Those days I was attending 2 days long Vipassana (freestyle) meditation course. I learned there how to go through the situations and tasks I am not familiar with by just repeating a few amazing sentences:
This is an experiment.
I don’t know what will happen.
Anything can happen.
Let’s see what happens.
That was my mantra and I loved it. It perfectly fitted in the entire deal with my new job – experiment 🙂
So as I said, I promised to myself and apparently to the community as well that I was going to stick to my plan:
8 hours full time working for the entire following month.
As I already said before, I was not so confident with writing in English so that others could read my texts officially, so I asked a community to help me with this. To throw some suggestions and assistance even when I don’t ask for it.
I knew that that way was the best way for me to improve my English, and also get ready for my website content.
I just knew that I had to break that ice 🙂
However, that first day I was awake until 3:30 in the morning, working on my goals, reading, and listening to the videos. I started working at 12:33 am. I was already falling asleep. I accomplished three hours for that day and had five more hours to go 🙂
Also, whenever I have written my first Wealthy Affiliate blog post and wanted to publish it, the system was asking for the tags. And I didn’t have an idea what I was supposed to write. And I just left Kyle’s name over there lol
Anyways, it was fun 🙂
Well, since I established the “I can do it” journal, I’ve been writing a blog post within the Wealthy Affiliate on a daily basis (with some very rare exceptions).
My plan is to introduce you to each day of my journey towards success.
