Today I am facing a huge challenge! I am currently working on Phase 3 of the Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp, lesson 6! Today’s task is called ”Power writing gone wild”. More precisely, my task is to write for 30 minutes straight and when an alarm goes off, I HAVE TO STOP and post my results in a discussion thread.
This page is for everyone who would like to learn how to improve their writing skills. As always, I will share my experience which I hope will be very useful in your business endeavors
What a challenge
I am writing this in real-time and feeling stressed a lot. Lol. But this is positive pressure. Grammarly is catching my typing mistakes, and I am trying to ignore them since my goal is to write as much as I can of quality content in the next 30 minutes.
Holly Molly! I have 24 more minutes! Haha! Ok.
Let’s get serious.
My first blog posts
My first blog post was born on July 26th, 2016. That was the first day of my Wealthy Affiliate journal. That seemed like the best way to start. I was afraid of making mistakes and being judged, so I decided to write only for Wealthy Affiliate members. I had great motivation, though. I wanted to record each step I take along my Wealthy Affiliate journey.
Communication in English wasn’t so challenging for me anymore, after the years I spent working for the Carnival Cruise Line, but writing. Hmm actually, writing for people, that’s the new life chapter. An advanced English level for me.

Oh my God! I’ve written 256 words in 15 minutes? That’s almost half of the post, and I almost said nothing. Lol
My average time for writing a blog post is about 3 hours, and this is such a big challenge!

Make a short script of your page
I should have planned each chapter on this page.
Ok. So I had a clear idea of what to include on this page. But I haven’t written subtitles on the paper. And I was supposed to do that right?
It would be much easier now to go through this challenge. However, that’s something that improves writing a lot. This time I was just into beating this challenge 🙂
Focus
It’s so important to stay focused. No matter what’s going on around you, STAY FOCUSED. Stay on top of your work. It’s your time, it’s your commitment!
Environment
I am working at home, while my whole family is here. And guess what? I have my headphones on listening to relaxing music with binaural sounds in the background. And I hear nothing but my music 🙂
Try that; it’s so helpful!!!
Binaural sounds increase my concentration, focus, and stimulate my inspiration.
Morning routine
Whether I am going to work or not that day, my morning routine is always the same. And I take quite a long time for my spiritual practice and waking up the whole of my being.
I wake up between 3:30 am and 4:00 am.
- Listening to affirmations
- Shower
- Drinking 3 cups of water
- Yoga session for 45 minutes
- Pranayama breathing exercise
- Meditation
- A little bit more meditation
- Ginkgo Biloba tea
- Smoothie made of fresh fruit – vitamin bomb
After that, I am ready for the rest of the morning/daily routine.
P.S. Ever since I’ve been practicing this routine, I realized that I’ve been more focused, inspired, open and I’ve increased my self-confidence a lot.

Just write! Lol It starts from just make yourself write and then slowly the skills will come after, that is just my opinion though. I remember I used to hate writing and I will always procrastinate it but I notice that the more I write the better I get, It is just like any skills. You just have to get out of your comfort zone and jump right to it. I always write with my google docs so I never really get to use grammarly but I heard many good things about it so I am going to give it a try.
What I usually do is just count down 5-4-3-2-1 and just make myself write no matter I feel like it or not lol. The more I linger the more I procrastinate. That works for me.
I LOVE your comment and a positive approach!!! So true! Just write write and write and that’s how you will improve your writing skills!!! When I read now my articles from few years ago I can see such a difference!
What is your biggest challenge when comes to writing?
The Wealthy Affiliate community is truly the best group of open-minded people that are here to see you progress and succeed in your journey. It’s always a challenge doing something under pressure but sometimes it’s necessary (work wise) from experiences you learn and I have grown so much ever since I wrote my very first blog post. I had no idea what I was doing. English is not my first language so I was mortified that I was going to end up making mistakes all the time, but thankfully I have managed to upgrade my abilities and skills into something that today, I am really proud of everything that I have accomplish.
Thanks for teaching me the perfect way to help me improve on my writing skills. I didn’t know this before but now that you have mentioned this I understand just what it will man for me to try to sharpen it especially seeing that I am looking to go into freelancing as well.
As someone who is currently trying to get into blogging for affiliate marketing purposes, I am very happy to have run into this aritlcle. I have never been the best writer, even while in school. Writing was my weakest subject but what you’ve outlined here are things that they wouldn’t even really teach me in school so I definitely think i can take a whole different approach to writing and actually become better on it because of your article. Thank you so much!
